The marketing, location, pricing, quality, and other points are important when not only starting a business but in operating a successful one. One point that I feel is crucial, and that often is overlooked is providing "customer service."
Point to your financials and look at how much it costs you to provide excellent customer service? Back in my banking days I learned something that I still apply to this day; customer service is a way life, not a business technique.
